Please read before you start
The new NUC15 units look different from the ones supplied previously. They needed to be modified so they can fit inside the scanner (this is due to changes made by the manufacturer). Despite the different appearance, they function exactly the same as before.
The tape on the computer is there to protect wires that are vital for the computer. Please do not remove it.
Cable overview
Cable connections inside the scanner.
Please note that the lower black USB 2.0 port does not provide sufficient power for the cable. Instead, please use the included USB-C cable to connect one of the towers and use the blue USB 3.0 port.
When the new internal computer is plugged in
- Make sure that the new computer works by plugging in the power cord to turn it on. The lights should turn on if the device is working as expected.
- Turn the scanner off again by unplugging the power cord. Make sure all cables are inside the scanner or in the canals leading to the towers. Close the scanner by reattaching the top plate. Reattach the camera towers.
- Turn on the scanner by plugging in the power cord again. If the scanner uses an ethernet connection, connect this to the scanner as well.
